Frontend Product Engineer (remote)
Job Description
Which crypto primitives have reached mass consciousness?
Tokens? ✅
NFTs? ✅
What’s next?????
Nilli is a pre-seed funded startup with the mission of bringing the primitive of smart contracts into mass use and mass consciousness.
Our core product is the “crowd contract.” Crowd contracts allow groups of people to crowdfund an offer… but as an Ethereum smart contract, the funds will only be claimed if the targeted recipient meets the contract conditions.
The first use of crowd contracts will be for college fanbases to fund their favorite college players. But the possibilities of crowd-based contracting are limitless. By providing a contract create wizard and a contract marketplace for users, Nilli aims to be an “OpenSea for Smart Contracts”
About You
You believe that despite some scams, crypto is something very real – a new and important way for human beings to coordinate with each other in the digitally native age.
You are front-end obsessed and want the UX you build to be clear always, and delightful wherever it’s possible.
You respect and enjoy the power of design and interaction so much that it makes it fun to suffer the pain of making it perfect in functionality.
You truly care about detail and want users to have an experience that is fast, clear, safe, and consistent.
Your first love is not to tweak something that already exists, but to engage in building for the sake of product discovery. Iterate is your middle name.
You are super comfortable applying integrations – never reinventing the wheel unless needed!
You are highly aware of the trade-off between “fast” and “perfect” when it comes to building, and you can communicate that respectfully and well to the team.
You are confident enough – and humble enough – to ask clarifying questions so that product vision can become product reality.
Core Responsibility
We use the Silicon Valley Group conception of design (see the book by Inspired by Marty Cagan, as an example). This means that PM, Designer, and Engineer are each fully empowered to solve for their own core missions:
PM = Value + Viability
Designer = Usability + Delight
Engineer = Feasibility + Scalability
You will be the leader of the front-end side of engineering. That means owning the entire front-end operation of the Nilli MVP, alpha, and beta – this is your role on the product team, and we will defer to you ultimately on what is feasible regarding front-end.
